PLANNING THE PROPOSAL
In this video we demonstrate how we mind map.
This is important for the planning, ensuring all information and notes are compiled in the map. When drafting, we can then proceed smoothly without interruptions.
We'll start by mapping main sections:
- Background
- Problem analysis
- Project description
Then, we'll complete each section by inputting all information into the mind map.
- Firstly, we'll do the background section, inputting information using keywords only. The completed map now includes details about a flood incident on the Kampung Coast, its impacts, and the government's response.
- Next, we'll do the same for problem analysis, illustrating the core problem, effects, and causes in the mind map format.
- Moving on to the project description, based on our narrative summary of the Log Frame, we add impact, outcomes, and associated activities.
- From the OVI and MOV, we then incorporate monitoring and evaluation into the mind map.
- For project management details, including staffing and responsibilities, we'll create a separate branch in the mind map.
- If you've costed your project, add the budget branch, detailing total costs, breakdowns, and funding sources.
- Finally, include a capacity statement about your organization's history, experience, and purpose to justify why you're the right fit for the project.
We now have a complete mind map of the proposal, encompassing all necessary information for drafting. This planning phase ensures readiness for drafting the proposal without interruptions.
